Welding Techniques Of Explosive Composite Plates

1. Preparation before explosion

(1) Double board: The common materials of explosive composite board double board are: titanium-based alloy, nickel-based alloy, Hastelloy, stainless steel, two-way stainless steel, copper, aluminum and other materials. Specifications are customized according to customer requirements, and most double panels require tailor welding. The precautions during the welding process are: the purity of argon gas is required to be 99.99%, and the welding current depends on the thickness of the double board and the material of the double board. During the welding process, the positive and negative sides of the weld need to be protected by a protective cover to prevent the oxidation of the weld and ensure the welding quality.

(2) Substrate: Use a grinding wheel to remove the oxide skin on the prepared substrate, and then polish it with a thousand-page wheel to make the surface smooth and free of defects.

(3) Matching board: After leveling and polishing the tailor-welded double board, match it on the specified substrate. Composite plate explosion requirements, compound plate must be larger than the base plate.

 

2. Explosion site

The composite panel explosion site requires field work, ten kilometers away from residential buildings, and the site requires soft soil and no stones to prevent damage to the panel surface during the explosion.

3. Explosive welding

Repair the size of the ground according to the specifications of the composite board material (called the fort in the industry). After the fort is repaired, pave the prepared substrate and clean the dirt on the composite surface. Pave the gap according to the process, and then place the doubler board on the gap. Lay the explosives, insert the electric detonator, and prepare to explode.

 

4. Post-explosion treatment

Clean up the explosively formed composite panels, conduct ultrasonic flaw detection, mark the unqualified parts of the flaw detection, and then repair them. After that, heat treatment is carried out. The temperature of heat treatment depends on the properties of the material.

 

The composite board is leveled after heat treatment, and the secondary flaw detection is performed after leveling to prevent cracking during the leveling process. Finally, the composite panels that pass the flaw detection are cut and polished. Then the finished products are inspected and packaged for delivery after passing the test.
