How to install and use the clad head
Please fix the points symmetrically in the order shown in the figure, which is simple and accurate, and is convenient for group welding.
1. Please measure the outer circumference of the clad head. If the barrel is processed in advance, please ask our company for the size of the outer circumference.
2. Please divide the outer circumference of the clad head into 4 equal parts, and mark the cylinder and the clad head.
3. Tack welding is carried out in the order shown in the figure. For the positioning point of tack welding, please choose the positioning point according to the diameter and thickness of the plate.
4. After the tack welding is completed, perform welding.
Pay attention to the protection of the surface of the stainless steel clad head
1. After the clad head and the cylinder are assembled, clean up the welding seam, heat-affected zone and surrounding welding slag, spatter and contaminants in time, and carry out PT inspection and surface pickling.
2. Prevent bumps and scratches on the surface of the stainless steel clad head.
3. Prevent direct contact with carbon steel and avoid iron ion pollution.
4. Don't store it in the open air and keep it away from rain.
5. Avoid forced assembly welding. The structural design should prevent excessive restraint stress.
6. The chloride ion content of the water pressure test water should not exceed 25mg/L, and it should be dried in time after the test.
7. Stainless steel pickling cannot use reducing acid such as hydrochloric acid.
Points to note when using the clad head
1. The carbon steel clad head will crack in the environment of nitrate, ammonia, alkaline sodium, etc. Please specify to eliminate the residual stress when ordering the clad head.
2. Austenitic stainless steel will have stress corrosion cracking in a specific environment with chloride ions. Please select a suitable material when designing.
3. For carbon steel containers that require hot-dip galvanizing or aluminizing, please do heat treatment first to remove residual stress.
