Titanium elbow is a commonly used component in various pipelines and pipelines and is widely used in transportation pipelines for petroleum, natural gas, gas, chemical raw materials, water, and certain solid materials. Elbow accounts for the largest proportion of all pipe fittings used in the piping system, about 80%.
Different materials and wall thicknesses have different forming processes for elbows. The commonly used forming processes for metal elbows include pushing, stamping, and extrusion. Among them, push forming is the most commonly used method in elbow forming. It adopts a special elbow pushing machine, an elbow forming mandrel, and a heating device, so that the blank tube sleeved on the mold moves forward under the push of the pushing machine, and is heated, enlarged, and bent during the movement. . In the elbow forming process, the elbow forming mandrel is an indispensable elbow forming mold. The current elbow pushing process requires that under the condition of the same nominal diameter and radius of curvature, elbows with different outer diameters must be used to form mandrels with different wall thicknesses.
Titanium elbow forming includes the following steps:
1. Select the mandrel with the outer diameter of the shaping section larger than the inner diameter of the finished elbow, where the outer diameter of the shaping section = the outer diameter of the finished elbow - 2 × (0.5 to 1 times the wall thickness of the finished elbow).
2. Select the tube blank with the same volume and wall thickness as the finished elbow.

3. Use a mandrel to push the tube blank to obtain a semi-finished elbow whose outer diameter is greater than or equal to the outer diameter of the finished elbow and whose wall thickness is the same as that of the finished elbow.
4. Select the elbow-forming die with the same cavity size as the finished elbow, including the upper die and the lower die.
5. Lay the semi-finished elbow with an outer diameter larger than the finished elbow flat, and press the semi-finished elbow into an elbow with an elliptical ring section along the direction perpendicular to the radius of curvature of the semi-finished elbow. The short axis of the outer ring of the elliptical ring is equal to the finished elbow. the outer diameter. Then, the elliptical annular elbow is placed on the lower die of the elbow forming die, and the elbow having an elliptical annular cross-section is formed and pressed by the upper die of the elbow forming die. If the outer diameter of the semi-finished elbow is equal to the outer diameter of the finished elbow, place the semi-finished elbow on the lower die of the elbow forming die, and use the upper die of the elbow forming die to form and press the semi-finished elbow.
6. After demolding, cut off the excess parts at both ends to get the finished elbow.
