The resource scale is remarkable.Its TiO₂ resources account for 65 % of the world's total ilmenite reserves in 2025,2.8 times China's national titanium reserves and larger than Hongge South Mine,China's largest single titanium deposit.The weathered ore outcrops on the surface and allows open‑pit mining without blasting.Its high‑grade ore core can support large‑scale production for 30 years with low initial investment thresholds.
Amid global supply‑chain restructuring,Western countries are restructuring titanium supply chains.Benefiting from well‑connected railway and port facilities,Pitfield can conveniently export products to Asia,Europe,America and the Middle East.Proven beneficiation‑metallurgy processes can produce high‑purity titanium dioxide for both titanium‑dioxide pigment and sponge‑titanium feedstock,featuring short processing flows and prominent cost advantages.
China boasts world‑leading titanium‑processing capacity yet faces high import dependency for titanium concentrate.Once commissioned,the Pitfield project will provide an alternative import source for domestic titanium manufacturers and may push raw‑material prices lower.Chinese enterprises shall closely monitor project progress to enhance bargaining power and secure industrial‑chain supply safety.
