Titanium and steel are metallurgically incompatible. Therefore, the titanium clad layer and the steel bottom layer should be welded separately. Titanium is a chemically very active metal, which can easily absorb oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and other gases in a liquid state or a high-temperature solid state. Therefore, before welding the bottom layer, the clad layer at the joint should be removed to avoid degradation of function due to oxidation. The welded joint structure is selected. The strength of the joint is mainly ensured by the bottom steel weld. The purpose of covering this layer is to prevent the corrosive medium from corroding the welded joint.
So, what is the welding environment of the titanium steel clad plate?
1. The ground wire of the welder can not be directly pressed on the bottom surface of the layer to avoid arcing;
2. The operator needs to wear clean foot covers, gloves and other protective equipment;
3. The welding area is relatively closed and can be fenced if conditions permit;
4. The welding wire needs to be wiped with acetone and it should be placed securely, and it should not be soiled by stepping on it;
5. Do not use electric fans, compressed air and other facilities to intensively ventilate the inside of the barrel during welding.
