Zirconium clad stainless steel plate is a clad material composed of zirconium plate and stainless steel plate by explosive welding explosive，Zirconium is a rare metal with amazing corrosion resistance, high melting point, ultra-high hardness and strength. It is widely used in aerospace, military industry, nuclear reaction and atomic energy fields. So zirconium clad stainless steel plate can combines the advantages of stainless steel plate and zirconium plate, and also saves material cost for customers.

3.Making of zirconium clad stainless steel plate
The specific gravity is 6.51, and when making zirconium steel clad plate, need a titanium layer between zirconium and stainless steel, because zirconium and stainless steel are two different metal which can not be welded together directly, using titanium as a medium can unit these two materials together. First we have to do explosion for titanium and stainless steel, after this we will do heat treatment and flating, then do the second time explosion.
4. Reference
Our company established in year 2004, till now already 17 years, we are expert in clad plate making, recent days we made a Zirconium clad stainless steel plate which THK is (8+2+45)mm, all the layer THK are positive, this means we put raw material (10+2+50)mm, the length of our product is 6300mm, the width is 1070mm, this size very few company can do.Below picture is the product in the explosion site.
5. UT test
